Basic Tailoring Recipes – from EQ Traders circa 2001
Make sure that when recipes require more than 1 of an item (silk swatch, heady kiola), that the items are NOT stacked in your sewing kit.
Note that in many places, I mention HQ and MQ “pelts”, but some of them may be named “skins” instead. Please do not let Verant’s naming inconsistencies confuse you. If the rest of the name is correct (high quality cat, ruined wolf, etc.), then it is the correct item. (For example, it’s an HQ bear skin, not an HQ bear pelt, but it works properly in the recipe)

Quest recipes requiring tailoring:
- Cabilis necro quest: 2nd rank skullcap: torn tapestry and ripped tapestry off Sarnak hatchlings in the Lake of Ill Omen. Combine in a sewing kit for a “mended tapestry”, lore, no drop. (trivial 23)
- Shadow silk (necro shadow-bound armor quest, as well as the monk Robe of the Lost Circle quest) [trivial 51?]: shadow wolf pelt, silk swatch, and necromancer spell scroll “Gather Shadows”
- Large shadow silk (necro shadow-bound armor quest): 2 shadow wolf pelts, silk swatch, and necromancer spell scroll “Gather Shadows”
- Inky silk (necro shadow-bound armor quest) [trivial 39?]: shadow wolf pelt, silk swatch, and 2 copies of the necromancer spell scroll “Gather Shadows”
- Cabilis monk training bag: combine 3 granite pebbles and a “prepared leech husk” in a large sewing kit to get a monk training bag. (trivial at 1 or 2) (Other parts: prepared leech husk – Get a leech husk bag from Master Bain (Court of Pain), fill with 4 leech husks, combine, return to Klok Mugruk; get the granite pebbles from the Toilmaster by returning 2 broken froglok shackles for a pile of granite pebbles)
- Patched Gnoll Fur Bundle (Halas): [trivial 21 for first combine, <=36 for the rest] combine four patches of gnoll fur to make a gnoll fur patch. Take four of the newly made gnoll fur patches to make a gnoll fur patch quarter. Take four gnoll fur patch quarters to make patched gnoll fur bundle (AC 4, sv 5 vs cold, wt 4.0, back slot). This cloak can be worn or traded in above the bank to the female rogue for a Fang of the Wolf, barbarian only piercing weapon.
